I didn't keep perfect records this year, but I know that I hunted 56 days total. 50 in MS, 6 in other states. Totals killed while on my watch (group totals) 299 ducks, 117 geese. Thanks mainly to some really high volume hunts out of state.
Had my fill of slow days around here too, but overall I shot a more shells this year. Mainly because of the high volume goose hunts that I went on. I've got to admit that I always turned my nose up at the thought of goose hunting. It's a lot of work, and can go wrong very easily. But this year I stuck with it, and got invited on several good goose hunts. I'll probably go again this year before they all leave.

16 hunts/ 10 ducks
Maybe the most fun I have had hunting ever.
Spent a lot of time with my dad.
Saw my little brother-in -law kill his first duck.
Saw a bald eagle.
Two mornings while waiting on the sun to rise, I saw shooting stars.
This is the fewest ducks I have ever killed in one season.
I Learned there is more to hunting than just killing.
Looking forward to next year,
SBE

Group waterfowl totals:
MS - 25 hunts 109 ducks (avg 4+ per) 0'd twice
MS - 3 teal hunts 13 BW teal (avg 4+ per)
TN - 2 hunts 3 ducks (avg 1.5 per)
TX - 4 hunts 156 ducks, geese, cranes (avg 39 per)
Canada - 10 hunts 235 ducks & geese (avg 23+ per)
Total 44 days, 516 waterfowl, avg 11.6 per
I deer hunted the duck opener, raked my yard weekend of January 10th, and skipped a Noxubee hunt that, as it turns out, I should have gone anyway. Old dog picked up 189 birds, new pup made 64 retrieves. Even in MS, the hunting wasn't too bad, hunted with alot of new and old friends and had an awesome time each and every day afield, wouldn't have missed it for the world. Youth weekend upcoming, nice and warm try to get a duck on teh water for my 5 year old, still plenty of snipe around, and maybe sneak in a goose hunt or two.

Just started hunting public land last year and only been hunting ducks for about 5 yrs. Myself and the people I hunted with(avg. about 3/hunt) killed 141/16 days. Killed more ducks this year, but there were more in the areas I hunted last year just didn't know how or where to kill them. I had a great year just being out there.
Hunted 37 times in LA, killed 158 ducks, 47 speckelbellies, and 189 snows.
Hunted Arkie twice killed a woodie and helped on a gray duck.
Hunted MS twice, killed a limit of green combined over two days.
Wish like heck I could have gone on the trip with double R to Texas, sounds like it was a true blast.
