I do alot of guiding and see alot of hulls hit the ground and water. I take it upon myself to pick up as many of these as I can, and ask my hunters to do the same. Most of the time, I'm the only person with permission to hunt on several places and I'd hate to know that I lost my priveledges because I trashed up the place with brass and plastic. Besides, I enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and can't stand to look at man-made objects floating down the lake or littering up the woods. Just curious if y'all pick up your hulls or not; if you don't, then take pride in this world that God has given us and keep it clean.

I try to pick mine up, if for no other reason than not to have shiny red plastic and brass glinting in the sun next to my blind or hunting spot.

I never thought about picking up my hulls before I shot skeet. I always picked up my brass from rifle shooting, but not my hulls. The first time I went out to shoot skeet, I didn't thik about it. They made me go back and pick up all hulls on the course. Now, not only do I pick up mine, but I get on anybody that doesn't pick up theirs.

I never leave hulls floating, I either pick them up and put them in the boat or sink them as I go by.
No use to advertize a successful place ya know...

i'm with duckmen, hulls show that you had a good spot, not uses in giving it away. i know a few folks that look for just that one thing. anyway you always want to pick them up when your shooting lead #4 ....ha

makes me feel good to go back to the shack year after year and can't find an old hull... then if you do find one, it is a tell tell sign of intruders.... keep your holes clean.... alot of reloaders in my area and they like to comb the dove fields for hulls... god bless them....

On good weeks, we shovel them up into a bucket, and take a rake and pick up the wad litter that blows up into a cornor of the field. In bad weeks, they throw empty hulls at fatdawg and get her jacked up when im trying to sleep. Fatdawg chews up at least a couple of them every hunt, loves the taste of gunpowder I suppose. travis

Back when I did a lot of reloading I would go out the next day and ask the landowner if I could pick up hull on his property. Always was ok. You not only find hulls you find coke and beer cans paper bags candy wrappers live shells shell boxes all kind of stuff. Just because you pay to hunt on someones land does not give you the right to litter it up.
