Not so fast Duckmen. Here's a link to the only time that I recall ever bringing this up, and I don't see anywhere in this link where you have attempted to respond to this.

http://www.ducksouth.com/phpbb/viewtopi ... highlight=

I don't ever recall reading a response to me anywhere else. I haven't lied about anything. I'm not a liar and I want to make sure that part is very clear. Please do a search and show me where you've addressed me, I couldn't find it and I wouldn't call you a liar even if I were sure you were wrong about something.

MSDuckmen wrote:My question to you Mr. Wildfowler is who are you to call names and point fingers?

I brought it up again, because it seemed that almost a day later you were going to avoid responding again. Now I finally know. You've kept a logbook of what your club killed. That's ok for you to do that, but it's not ok for anyone around here to talk about it. In fact, you've always talked down to anyone who dare discusses the actual killing or the number of ducks killed unless they happen to be talking about the heritage as you see it. And then here you are keeping up with the numbers yourself. Prior to reading your explanation, I was beginning to think I recognized a double standard. It's clear now. Please accept my apology.

So what patterns have you extrapolated from your kill data over the years? Any insight you could share with us other than we would be better off with a perpetual 3/30 season?

Aside from building and putting up a few local bird boxes, not much. What does that have to do with anything?

Well let me start off by saying I never saw that post after I had made mine. I have however replied to everyone of the same request many times in the past on this forum and the MDWFP forum. That was over a year ago and I responded to the post and never looked back. I'm sure there is probably many like that I have posted to and never returned to see what may have been posted after mine. Since I was not even talking to you it is funny how you jumped in even back then to belittle anything I might have to say about something. Seems like you would have known that I never saw it since I never replied to anyone after yours. If I had you would have had a good reason to make the statement you did.
I apologize for the liar statement you are right and I should have never said that to begin with. I don’t know you well enough to make such a statement. I do respond to questions as I have nothing to hide and that is the very reason I said that. Remember you are the one that did the name calling first which produced the response. “Remember Mr. Righteousness”

Since you brought up that post and it is way over due let me just say that yes the years numbers did go down for a multitude of reasons. Even today our numbers are lower each season. Our club members reduced. Less Ducks in the Delta requiring more time to look for them and even a change of jobs that did not allow me to take off 50 days a season as I did in the earlier years. For the last few years I even choose to deer hunt now when I would not have considered it for years. But then it is not so important as the numbers are not high at all for our group any of the years. Funny how you never mentioned the numbers our guest killed, as that was a large portion of the numbers. We always tried to treat guest to a special time. I did that for a couple on here to only to have them shoot too soon and water swat and call like they were at the extravaganza. Which is the very reason I’m extremely cautious on whom I take anywhere now. I would very much like for you to do your magic and show where I talked down to anyone who talked about numbers they killed. Yes I have talked about mountains of dead bird pictures and laying them out in numbers as if they proved their worth as hunters. But I don’t think you will ever find where I dog anyone about how many they killed per season unless it showed they killed over the limit. Many times on here I have PM’d people and told them where the ducks were and when to go.
Just show me that if you can maybe I need to be enlightened. And I'm very happy to know that our club keeping a log is ok to do. Glad we have your approval.

We did get some great data from our reports and actually were able to develop a time frame for areas we preferred to hunt over others. We became much more selective in what we shot and who we took with us. You can get a lot from 30 years of data but that is not something I'm willing to give out on a forum.

Over my years of hunting I’m sure I have probably killed more than my share.

As for your contributions! Never mind you answered my question. And if you don’t know why it matters nothing I can say will make a difference.

i am on Phil's last video, i didn't shoot any out season animals and we stopped short of the limit just to watch birds the rest of the morning. There was no head biting, I think most of that is entertainment.
