New Birds?!

Postby vicksburg » Wed Jan 22, 2003 12:55 pm

Just came back from my lease just north of Vicksburg and saw lots of new birds. Most i've seen since the beginning of the season. Lots of spoonies and greenheads. Maybe things up north are getting bad enough that a few birds are trickling down. Looking better and better for this weekend if we can keep some water open.
Good luck to everyone this weekend.

Hey V'burg. How far are you from King's Point Island?? I hope some of those new birds find their way to the island this weeknd? We have had a horrible season over there so far... thanks Ben

well i can't speak for the south end but as far as the north end we have not killed enough to even justify going... 3 of us went saturday morning at willow brake and got 7 that has been the tops for our camp... and 5 of those were wood ducks... i bet while i'm over there in feb. taking down deer stands they will be everywhere...
