Help with my new 22 inch computer monitor

Postby matador1 » Wed Jul 25, 2007 5:41 pm

Bought me a new monitor this week. Stay on a computer 5-7 hours a day and needed some eye relief. Everythign is great except one thing. All words are smeared looking. Kind of like they are shadowed? Any help?

refresh rate - change it. Maybe that will help. Right click on desktop, Properties > Settings > Advanced > Monitor > Monitor Settings and change it. Good luck.

I tried everything. Finally talked to a coupl eof computer savvy guys. They told me it was my tower. It is three years old and only 512 mb. Not enough power. I am sitting at the office right now backing up my old machine so I can start my new HP with 2 Gig!!

It has everything to do with your video adapter. I have flat screens that seem fuzzy that are going through multi-modules that look really good when connected directly to the video adapter. If your using a original adaptor that is part of the mother board (On Board adapter) They rarely are good enough to support flat screens. I use the ATI all in wonder card and mine is great.

If you doubt me just plug the monitor into another machine that has a new adapter and you'll see what I'm talking about.

What you are calling a shadow is called bleed-over in LCD's.
