I saw some animal i thought was a cougar but i'm not sure. i saw this animal about six or seven years ago close to magee near a hog farm. I was sitting on a old loggin road and i saw this cat
. i cleary remember watching its shoulder blades move on his back as he passed through my scope. i could have shot him but i didn't want to shoot something that could have possibly be a rare animal. his tail was long and curled back up as it dipped toward the ground. his color was darker than a deer but definietly not black. never seen him since and doubt i will but oh well. i just thought i'd throw my ghost story out there to give ya'll something else to ponder.

panthers
I grew up deer hunting around winona,Ms I have never seen a panther but my uncle has seen a couple around different parts of montgomery co.was hunting around greenwood several yrs ago.My cousin and I think we heard 1 scream right at 1st daylight.scared the $#!+ out of me.it sounded just like a woman screaming.my uncle used to deliver the mail around a communtiy called Mccarley.mostly gravel roads where he delivered.he rounded a corner in the road and saw 2 panther cubs in the road.they saw him and ran back into the woods.he got out of the truck just to look at them again and the momma let out a loud screaming sound ,my uncle hauled his old ass right back in the truck with the quickness!!!those things have always sort of infatuated me.wouold love to see one sometime. I was fortunate to get to see the tracks of 1 that someone else had seen early 1 day.it crossed the road and jumped into a sand wash on the side of the road.big track.I have heard of people seeing them in different colors such as brown but mostly black.what an incredible animal.

There was one seen in Greenville in the early 80's. The Police Dept was called as was the animal control. To hear the old Chief tell it he and several others chased the cat back over the Levee but were never able to get a shot at it with the Tranqulizer(sp) gun. I have also heard that there was another one sighted at Anderson Tully south of Greenville about ten years ago.

Most likely a bobcat. If you ever heard a female bobcat scream you would think it had to come from a cougar or something. I love to get out in the late winter or early spring and listen to this. As far a the panther when I see one I will believe it. It is hard for me to believe one hasn't been killed. Hell a bear can't even stay alive in MS before some punk ass redneck kid kills it to brag about about it, more less a panther.
Wingman I believe that is called a jagaur unde or something like that, and it is found in South America but several have been found lurking up through central America if my memory serves me correctly.
