Mine is loose in the house 24/7 from May to October unless she is out working or in my office with me. I have seen too many dogs die in the heat down here in the summer to do otherwise. She stays outside during the day when we are at work from October until the end of April to keep her coat, and otherwise stays in the house. If we are home, she is inside.

Duke stays outside during the day while I'm at work, but I let him in the house when I go in.

Bonecrusher is either in the bed or on the couch. Not the couch on the porch either.

Deltaduck built a house specifically for his 27 hunting dogs. And they don't want you messing with the deal they got. :D

She is in the house if I am there and in her pen the rest of the time. She sleeps in her pen at night though.

Both of ours are outside during the day while I'm at work, unless the wife wants them inside (which is all of the time except when she is in class). However, they are in at night.

Mine is in the house all the time, and when my wife is home usually in her lap on the coach.
