Are flees worse in draught conditions? I have never had flee troubles with any of my dogs. I use Frontline monthly which has always seemed to do the trick, until this year. My lab has been full of flees this year. Would not be that big of a deal, except the dog comes inside a lot. The only thing that I can think of is the draught must have an effect.
I am now putting Frontline on twice a week and once I am finished with my 6 month supply, I am going to Advantix. Any thoughts on Frontline v. Advantix?

I have never been a strong speller but my wife is!
My wife pointed out that "Flea" is "ea" and not "ee". I am still celebrating the 4th. Forgive me!

Not sure if putting frontline on him that often is good for them or not.
May be you should try treating your yard with something like a spray or some granuals and get some topical spray to put on the dog everyday. it will also be much cheaper than the frontline once a week. I had the same problem a number of years ago and the only way i got it resolved was to treat the enviroment and the dog at the sametime.
i used the advantix when it first came out and could not keep the ticks off my dogs. Do not really remember how it worked on the fleas, just remember it did not work on the ticks. I went back to frontline.
