Echo timber single reed
RNT short barrel or daisy cutter single reed
It's all about calling technique and cadence. Go to a sporting goods store that allows the customers to blow the calls before buying. One echo will blow perfect, and you can put up another one identical that doesn't. Same goes for rnt's.

i mostly hunt sloughs, breaks, and flooded timber on the MS river. i am not an expert caller but i am def. not a beginner. i have all double reeds and some expert callers i know said i need to learn a single reed because they are much better when your a good caller.. any suggestions i would appreciate..

Thanks again GH22 for putting all that together. The ducks thank you too.
It's been about a year since we did that, and I'm thinking it's about time to get another batch made. I've been thinking about several callmakers that I'll probably contact to see what different engraving styles and prices we can get. We could probably go with echo again, but I'm thinking about doing something different this time around.
