The launch fee at the state lakes going up a $1, any users (pavillio, etc.) gotta pay the lake permit. I just wish they'd put some more fish in some of the lakes and stop ruining some we got that regenerated themselves. Goes in affect Aug 6. The year to date now is in affect and looks like the only money change; from what I see...Annual permits stay the same.

Don't think that's gonna help the deficiet. Letting the managers drive their hand me down trucks intsead of the ATVs, not both makes more sense to me. A $6K-$8K unneeded ATV could do some stocking and promote use for more revenues than fishery neglect. Oh, I'm sorry they call it "monitoring." But lotta their stuff is not needed. Cut out lotta the "middle men" on the staff that were created would go a long way IMO. Looks like lake managers have some 5 "bosses", shesh!

Gonna have to get rid of Haley Barbour to oust Sam Poles...That's a pipe dream...

Venting over....sorry 'bout dat, DL

A better question is why are there lake managers anyway? One manager for one little lake, are you kidding? They don't do anything that a regional manager can't do. We have probably close to 75 lakes in our 3 county area and there is a manager and assistant manager and 3 other specialists besides myself. I see no reason for one person needed to manage a single state lake... talk about one boring job.
