Just saw where Ronnie Lee has a combined two day score of 10 with Beamer and is moving on. Impressive to say the least.

Beamer is an amazing dog. He doen't get alot of recognition becuase Jolt is the most well known at Ronnie's Kennel. I've watched Beamer run and he's quite impressive.

Chip I noticed that ronnie ran MJ and did a respectable job in the first series . Isn't that pup only about 2-1/2 years old ? Seems like he was awfull young when you had him at my house last year . He's coming along nicely :D

Yeah that's him, he told me he might run him. I think that's a damn good score for a dog that just aged out of the derby. I took him home with me during the week of the Grand and worked him for Ronnie, and he's a young machine. Already HRCH and I think needs 2 more passes for his MH. Older he gets, better he gets. He's off Jolt X Molly, there was a repeat breedin' on the ground, but I would bet their all gone by now.

Beamer is nice, and is sired by Dude, which is not too shabby his self. I think Ronnie told me he had something like 60 master passes and had only failed 2. One was a handler’s error and the other was a poison bird that was thrown "accidentally" into his face while at the line and he leaned out and picked the bird up.

Dude is one heck of a dog. I helped train him somewhat, and have thrown many a birds for Dude. Dude is owned by Ernie Cook who is and older gentelman, he is stricken with a very rare nuerological disease that has made him loose his muscles and his mind. In the beginning he just needed a cane and couldn't see crap, now it has progressesed to the point where he is in a home and has little memory left.

Anyway when Dr. Cook used to run dude in training, he could never see the blind stake, and Dude had so much natural ability, that he would be self employed on a blind and line it almost every time. Don't ask me how he knows where to go, but his instincts are just incredible. If Dude wasn't so big and didn't have some semi agressive pups, that is almost ceratinly who I would have bred to when I did. However Jolt was by no means sloppy seconds. End of the day Ronnie has a bunch of fine animals.

what I like about seeing Ronnie get that far with beamer is the fact that he is the only trainer that has worked with that dog.....beamer is TRULY teh result of his program. Don't know of many at the top of that list that can say that

Beamer's owner is as good a fellar your gonna find as well.

Dude is the man, I have always been impressed with him and his offspring. Ronnie had a whole string of em one time and they were all nice dogs.....isn't Ms Kate a dude pup as well? I know Ricky has a nice one also.

I also seem to remember him failing a master test due to lockjaw as well......one of the funniest dang stories ronnie has ever told me, and there have been plenty of funny booty stories!

yep, your right Wes, it was lockjaw not handler error, I remeber the story now. And I do believe Kate by Dude.
