Who owns a Beretta Extrema II

Postby duckbuster330 » Thu May 31, 2007 11:41 am

Got a well bonus out here on the rig so I am thinking of buying a Beretta Extrema 2. Any gripes or complaints about it. I have shot one a few time on a dove hunt and really liked it. This gun will be just for dove and duck. But just give me your honest opinon of the one you have.

love it, my dad has one and i used it quite a bit this year. i have a 91a and the extrema blows it away. i think it is great, if i was going to buy one i would make sure a newer one was not on the horizon because if you can wait another 6 months and get the best it might be will worth it.

i bought one this spring....no complaints so far..... (hasn't been shot much either)....

I used a Winchester SX2 for 8 Seasons before that, I've been pleased with that gun.....

I'm generally not in favor of buying a "brand new" anything....minor updates are one thing, but when something is overhauled I like to give the manufacturer a year to work out the kinks.... but, I have broken that rule a couple of times and been lucky, I just try to avoid it.....

I have had one for two seasons now and not had a problem yet!
The Kick-off option is unnecessary, buy Extrema II without it and safe the extra $200 bucks for a case of shells.

Got it and highly recommend it. Like Hole Hunter said, don't worry about the Kick Off option.

well....i can't speak for shooting ducks with it (then again my SX2 never hurt bad doing that).... but, the kick off was nice to have patterning 3.5" turkey loads.....

Don't get the Kick-Off? The man is already spending $1200+ on the shotgun, what is another $100?!

My ExtremaII has hung up more than any other gun I have had. In my opionion the kickoff is well worth the money, especially if you take a few shots overhead with the 3 1/2 dynamite sticks. The sight also came off soon after buying it..I have not been well satisfied with mine. If it's down and muddy, my Benelli SBE is more reliable.

I bought one last season with kick off. I had previously been shooting an 870 pump. The Beretta sure tamed the recoil when shooting hevi shot. I am pleased with it so far although its not been shot a great deal.

I have one with the kick off and I like it alot. I think that the 'little bit' extra you have to pay to get the kick off is worth it if you are buying a new gun. Why not get the top of the line if you can afford it.
