3 in #2's are perfect for those things. doesn't really tear up the electrical wiring inside of them like the 3 1/2 in shells do, but still does a good enough number on the motors.

wonder how the heavi-shot would work....
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

Well, this weekend we noticed that those things pulled the ducks in for sure. What it did though really sucked. There would be groups of 100 to 150 ducks working the area and they would suck in 2-4 "stupid" birds, they would shoot them or at them and educate the whole damn mess of them. These things have become nothing but crutches for the wannabe duck hunters. I felt like running my boat right through their spread, and run right over their robos. Another fella kinda close to us couldn't call worth a $hit, also had a robo and would shoot at anything that got within 30-06 distance. I am telling you this $hit is getting ridiculous! Here is to all you wannabe's using robos (insert a middle finger sticking up here).

yeah, I used em a couple of years ago, but I don't care for em any more. call me fickle, change of heart, or whatever I just can't stand em now. the only electric gadget I like now is my electric call. that coupled with those 10 tame ducks with clipped wings I use for decoys work wonders. Heck with all that other junk!(hehehe)

spinners

Postby BR549 » Sun Dec 29, 2002 7:02 pm

Boys we had three spinners 96 decoys two mallard machines going all at once this morning, killed 24 greenheads, 6 bull sprigs, & 6 gadwall. never once did we touch a call. something had to be working, there sure wasn't any wind. Picking all this mess back up while watching the sunrise. Thank God for neat inventions.

I agree w/ BR549! I had a/b the same thing out this morning and killed 5 limits. I don't know who desided that we had a shortage of pintails but we limited out on them the very first pass. They were everywhere!!! I think they really like the mallard machine, the mojo just gets them to look( then cut that Da** thing OFF)once they are committed! They've kinda got like buttholes, everybody's got one! Best of luck and don't cull nutn'

boy y'all are real duck hunters. Johnny come lately loaded down with all the latest gadgets and gimicks. Truth be known the reason y'all didn't call is because you CANT call. Only been duck hunting for a few years (ever since it became en vogue) Learn how to call, use a jerk string, and get a little muddy. I bet you shoot them ducks at 50 yards plus with your 3 1/2" hevishot. then send your brittish lab that was professionally trained by that fella that trained Drake the DU wonderdog to pick your ducks up for you. You are the exact reason some folks can't seem to get ducks to decoy the way they use to. I wish they would lower the limits back to 2 ducks TOTAL to get rid of some of the crap that has come to be. I usually don't bash folks on here, but this $hit is getting under my skin. I don't get up at 3:30 drive an hour, launch the boat put out dekes, get all set up only to have some moron with all the latest toys come in and set up 200 yards from me and shoot at ducks treetop and a half high. I have absolutely NO respect for you as a duck hunter whatsoever!

Someone let the dutchdog out so he can get some!! sounds like the puppy aint got any leg in awhile....As for what others use or dont thats their choice. Do mojo's work Yes in some instances they do... Do calls work Yes in some instances they do...Mojo shy yes its happening..Call shy yes ducks have been known to be call shy also. To much of anything and ducks like all animals begin to associate things  ...

Didn't mean to piss dutch off but I do resent his comments. I've probably killed more ducks than he has ever seen in his life. We can call too when needed.... That was not the issue. Someone asked if people thought spinners were effective. I think they are if used properly. Also I can assure you I will never set up anywhere you might be because I don't hunt public land. Never have and never will. I understand his complaint about boys with new toys on public land though. I wish there was some way to control public hunting better but there's not.

Dutch-
I'm sorry your so anel, but wake up and smell the coffee ol' timer. This ain't 1965. I guess you also support DU and there dog Drake, well, there your reason for no ducks in the south. I'm a farmer in the delta and you can bet your last .50 on it I know what I'm talking a/b. I can also understand why your a little upset because yaw haven't killed $hit this season. Oh, by the way, try some of those cool gagets and you might like it!!!!

I do not have half of the gimmicks that were said in the previous post, but I do agree with BR549 and Phat. It isn't like they are using something that you are not allowed to use. It isn't like they were chosen out of a lottery system and got door prize number 1 with all the gadgets and the rest of us were left with a dozen docoys and chest waders.

Hey Phat Duck, Next tell them how much it cost us farmers to have quality duck hunting. Them tell about the time and effort it takes to keep duck hunting wannabe's out of your holes and telling you things like "oh that under water I can run my boat in there and hunt anytime I want." WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not saying everybody that doesn't belong to a club or have a good lease is a "Billy Joe Badass" but a few bad apples can spoil a lot of duckhunters. If you do your homework plant your food and manage your duck hunting places like you should you'd be killing ducks instead trying to piss in somebody's else's whiskey. Most of you don't have a clue what it takes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

your so anel
hey Phat, shouldn't that be 'you're so anal' as in 'you are so anal' shortened from the term 'anal sphincter' and commonly used as a derogatory comment ??

yaw haven't killed $hit
shouldnt that be 'y'all' a southern colloquialism used as a replacement for 'you all'?? and the language from such a newbie...

Most of you don't have a clue what it takes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BR549.... with a couple hundred of us on this forum, that's a mighty bold statement from another newbie. I am glad that you took the time to understand all of our hunting techniques before you critiqued us as a group. Maybe you can give us some insight into your lofty abilities. I know that we would all be delighted and thrilled.
