Dock Workers Strike Delays Inventory

Postby webfoot » Thu Dec 19, 2002 3:49 pm

All twenty-nine major seaports from Seattle to San Diego were closed on the West Coast because of the longshoremen and dock workers were locked out from their jobs due to labor disputes between their union and the Pacific Maritime Association and shippers which control the ports.

Avery Outdoor products for the most part are made in China and other products carried by Mack's were also imported from the Far East.

And the funny thing is that most people don't even notice or won't notice until retail stores run of merchandise just in time for the holiday crunch.

Webfoot,

Mack's should have notified people of labor unions and thier issues, instead of letting things get out of hand.

Yeah I moved and since August have called them six times, emailed them 3 times and have now place two orders that have not come in. To Hell with them I will order from someone else. I dont want to beg someone to take my money.
