Watching Lott on the news earlier was sickening.Softcall is 100% right.However,I have now lost the respect I had for Lott.Not for what he said,but for the nonstop crawfishin he's done for the last few days.Oh Mr..Jackson I'm sooooo sorry.Pleeeeese forgive me.It's pathetic!!!

Trent is one HELL OF A GOOD GUY AND GOOD FOR MS.... if the week-wristed Al Gore and his tail-coat hugging Jessie Jackson and Jr want to run him down...so be it......

now i know why Gore couldn't even carry his home state or even his home-town....

As things unfold into Monday night TL is weaseling pretty bad it appears, although I haven't seen the BET interview. I'm sorry for him having to go thru that crap.

I think if the GOP big wheels oust him he should bet the farm and threaten to resign from office. This would allow Musgrove to appoint a Democrat, which would upset the slim majority in the Senate.

When he weakened,and chose to apologize,he should have done it once and only once!This crawfishing or weaseling as go24 calls it is pathetic.

Where go24 has it wrong is in saying Lott is having to go through this crap.He doesn't have to.HE CHOSES TO!

looks like things are settling down a bit for mr lott
i hope for everyone's sake he remains in power

i havent had not one thing bad to say about our great president since he took office he is a great man and a great leader what infuriates me though is that he knows first hand what kind of man trent lott is and for political reasons (his own job) want stand up and say this is over for mr lott... lets go back to business as usual

sorry to all you bush supporters but he just dropped a notch, all be it a small one, on my scale

Doc I agree with you. I wish that he had gone to bat for Trent or just kept his mouth shut. He oughta know first hand. When he was asked if he ever did drugs, his comment was "I am not going to answer that question". He stuck to his guns and never answered the question. The issue fizzled and died. Trent Lott should have followed the same path and said , "You misinterpreted my comment..If you did, I am sorry, my intent was not be be racist - Thank you" - and then he should have been done with it. Trent's got my vote next go round...

I'm happy to here all ya'll like Mr. Trent Lott so much. He is a good man for all you fatcat rich republicans. I'm savin' up so I can be a republican myself some day.

glad to here that should be easier for you to save now that we have so many republicans in office

i suspect they will really turn things around for our country...on all levels not just financially if they dont well theres no one else to blame and ill switch over to your side...na ill always be a republican as long as theres a democrat to blame our mistakes on

mdb1 you are saying what I've thought all along- this ain't about racism, it's about liberals trying to slow down the Republican train. Liberal demcrats, liberal news media and a few gutless republicans are responsible for all this injustice. TL will be all right, just sit back and watch.
