I already know what it'll do, kill ducks stone cold dead, and wallets too.

 WOW, pretty impressive. However have you used this new stuff? Is it going to fill my birds full of shot? Just a thought. Can't stand trying to eat wild game and picking out shot every other bite. Although, I know that is one of the consequences. Anyway, thanks, might need to give it a shot!

My father-in-law shoots that stuff. Man...is it tough on them ducks. If you shoot one at close range you can forget it! Way too expensive...Federal Tungsten is pretty similar in design for half the cost.

Even if it does it'll be way better than biting down a piece of steel shot!!

HS is just a hard as steel. It just has a lot greater density. The box says it is heavier than lead, but they mean it is more dense.

shells

Postby dukdawgn » Thu Dec 12, 2002 10:42 pm

went out this AM....had a hint of fog, but it was gone by shooting hours.....me and a buddy both limited out off of teal and mallards....both of us shooting 3"#3 winchester's....

for the money and saving breast meat, I'll stick with my X-pert and Drylocks.....

If I need some high power shells, i'll switch to 3/5"#1 Drylocks....those shells will cut down small rhino's at 100 yards! heheheheh......

I bought a couple of boxes of 10 in Dallas at Bass Pro for $15.88 per box. Still haven't used them. I guess I'm too cheap.

impressed

I shared the blind with a guy who shot 2.75" 1.25oz #4 Heavy Shot (Heavy Shot brand - not Remington) Sat and Sun morning, and I was impressed. Granted the guy could shoot, and nothing that he shot even wiggled after hitting the water.

Dayammmm!!! that was pretty impressive! I've got to go get a couple of boxes just to see that. Gonna buy 1 for ducks and 1 for turkey's this spring! My old man shot it last year duck hunting and it was the first time in a long time I have seen ducks come back to the pit bleeding profusely! Just wish I could afford to shoot it all the time. Anyway, gonna buy one box just to play!
