Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag Grand Slam
Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag Grand Slam
Has anyone heard any reports on the Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag Grand Slam gun? Looks like it might be a pretty well put together gun. I am looking for something that has the shorter barrel (20-22") and is fairly light. My Benelli's barrel is too long to sneak thru the woods quickly and quietly and the 10ga I have been using is way too heavy to lug around all day. I have been looking at the 835 Grand Slam and the Rem 870 SuperMag with teh 23" barrel. Any experience with either of these or any other suggestions?

Paul Meek in Raleigh sells an H&R 12 ga. auto that is built on a Browning patent. It is a bad little turkey gun. 22in barrel, rifle sites, camo, tapped for a sling, and is chambered for a 3 inch shell. 0h yeah, it comes with an extended turkey choke. It patterns really well and I have killed the crap out of 3 turkeys with it. I know seven or eight guys who bought one last year and they are all pleased with the gun. Most of them are every day turkey hunters. It is so light, you barely know you have a gun on your shoulder. I hunted with a 10 guage and a Browning Gold 12 before I got this one and they stay in the closet during turkey season. I will say that it kicks like a mule though.

I think I paid just over 400 for the gun.

Bonehead, you got a website I can browse that gun?
Sam, I have a mossberg 835 ulti-mag 3 1/2, not the grand slam though. 24 in barrell. Only had it for about 2 months and killed 2 turkeys graveyard dead. Whatever that means. Kicks like a mule also.

Why is my mouth so dry this morning, when I drank so much last night?

Scroll down to the Excell auto turkey. I saw on the specs that it only weighs 7 lbs.

A man your age complaining about a gun that weights to much.

You better grow some tadpole.
