Need Help - Sardis

Does anyone know where I can get a good map of the corp land that surrounds Sardis that is open to public hunting. I have been looking and cannot find anything.

I can tell you it's extremely complicated and people are constantly on our place screwing things up b/c they don't know when they are on corp land and not... :evil:

these maps are $6 each, but may not be what you are looking for, there are some numbers on the site for each area that you can call to inquire about corps land maps.

about eight years ago, it was BLATENTLY marked with yellow paint at the boundaries, I hunted there a bunch when I was in school in Memphis.

It's been marked more recently than that, and it's obvious to see the paint, but it juts in and out so much that alot of hunters just hunt all over our place like they freaking own it! Had em walk right across on of our fields while I'm set up on a turkey, cutting from one strip of corp land to the next trying to cut me off, neither strip being more than 300-400 yards wide...it's aggravating...

We duck hunt on the lower lake and dont have too many problems with folks being around us. :lol:

You can get a map of the Upper Sardis area by contacting the MDWFP in Jackson I order one from them its two sided.

I wish the USFWS would mark the trees on the water on the upper end of the Hwy 7 bridge like they do off of the highway. Because when you're in a boat you can't tell where the boundary is between the waterfowl area and the area where you can hunt. Great hunting though. :wink:

What do you wanna know? If the turkeys on the side of the road are on public ground? The answer is....it depends. If you're really interested in turkeys, PM me and I'll try and help you out. But you need to be pretty mad at 'em, they're not hanging out next to the road.
