Yur buddy is lying. I'd call the 1-800 poacher line on him. Anyone that would tell you that he bought an arkie liscene yesterday is not your friend. Hell, I bet he told you the season was closed this week, that they only allow 3 mallards 1 hen, and that there was ducks over there. Defiently, go to his house and cut a hole in his boat & poop on his qbeam.
Hate you lost a buddy over this, but better you learnd it the easy way. He weren't no kin wuz he? Always painful, when you got to see them at family functions and whutnot, after he tried to bamboozle you. travis

I'm doing good, but the duckin has sucked. Ought to be a law of nature these bastards can't night feed. Finally got the big #s last weekend, but they flew with nitevison on and flew over us full, quiet, and happy to not get their ass hammered. Hopefully this weekend is catch up time. Ya'll killing them? Lost yur email, I was wondering last week where you'd been and if ya'll where seeing anything different than us, but seems to be uni-versal.
Too bad both memphis bridges are gone, and traffic is backed up for 34 hours on the one north and south of here, and there is no good way to get to arkieland. hehehe. Just as well, I hear latest duck count for the state was 6, and one of dem was crippled. travis

Well, Goose, things ain't been bad up here in NEA. We have, however, had some of the same problems. Everything went good from the 4th week in Oct. up till 3 days before the season opener when that dirty bast**d full moon came up rearing his ugly head. And here they came, those 7:30 p.m. mass exodus flights feeding on every little piece of rice I left behind my worn out combine.
I ain't complain'n. Our official count thus far is 292. HOWEVER, that should be qualified with a very clear caviot: I took out 18 payhunters from Atlanta thanksgiving weekend who shot 109 birds, the VAST majority of which were of the smiling mallard variety. Mallards have flown well over the week before the split, but probably 50% of our birds have been GWT's, GADS, WIDG's, & PINs. I did shoot a scaup last weekend, which was the first I've ever seen, but I didn't have Blue with me and that quick little booger took a dive and I never found him. As for next week, my records indicate that the birds will leave the fields we've been shooting them in. That's the good news for all the boys in the woods. $#!+ news for my rice fields, cause we're run'n low on water and the two we've been hunting are just about fed over. We've been hunting the same birds since season opened, and I ain't seen anything that would indicate a new flight yet, but I figure it's com'n pretty soon. Soon as that second real flight of birds comes through, my duckies will leave. Keep me posted on how it goes. giblaw@inet-direct.com
