used to be a fancy place to drink fancy beers on the third floor of banner hall..

i'm sure some of you guys went there.. i liked going there and drankin all the different types.. never had the same beer twice..

my first date with my wife was a trip there.. i still remember looking at our tab and being astonished that she and i had drank $100.00 worth of nothing but beer..

ended the night at the waffle house.. druuunnnkkkkkkk...

man, WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!!

how do ya'll do it??? this would be fun as heck to get going.......when you get a chance, i'd appreciate some details of how ya'll get it done -- esp,

Gator,

Sorry, not that kind of club. Its a service, a company will send you two six packs of micro brewed beers every month. I've been doing it for over ten years. They continuously sample available micro brews and pick the best for their monthly selections (How'd you like that job?) The company also does wine, coffee, and cigars.

I don't think they're taking any new customers in MS since that state cracked down on collecting alchohol taxes but I'll check.

Your idea sounds even better! My wife and I are in something similar for wine - get together with folks once a month. Host couple supplies the eats and everyone else brings two bottles of wine - one for the host and one for everyone to sample. Typically there's a selected category, e.g., type, country of origin, stupid name, etc., and every couple will bring their favorite in that category. Seems like it would work great with beer as well.

And that explains all the wierd beer bottles found in trash cans throughout the camp. I especially like it when you recieve some "flavor" that you're not really fond of... it inevitably becomes "camp beer".

They used to have a pretty good little funk/jazz quartet play at the musiquarium fairly often... can't remember their name right now, but they were good. I liked the place 'cause it was never crowded and they always had good music.

musiquarium was where I saw AfroMan 2 times. :D :D
I loved that place too. I had many a beer up there. It was the best beer selection in town by far. If i had to guess, Lagers put them under with their large selection and the fact they had food.

Big, i think Lemuria book store took the space.

I think Lemuria was already there when the Musiquarium was still there. They may have expanded into that space though.

Afroman... now there's some old memories. That guy could play the hell out of a double-neck guitar, he could also play every instrument they had on stage. "Afro is you a ridda, cadillac walk like a spida. Smash out fast, then dump her... sparks straight flyin' from the bumper."

Thats what I meant, should have been more specific.

I tried the Flying Dog Tire Bite Golden Ale last night. Modeled after the Fat Tire I would assume...
It was no Fat Tire but, a great beer nonetheless.
