Yeah,
Mississippi State is no different than Florida, Tennessee, Notre Dame, or USC. We should be competing for championships on a yearly basis.
Yeah, if you were an 18 year old blue chip superstar recruit and had a choice between Gainsville, Knoxville, South Bend, Los Angeles, or Starkville, why, its a no-brainer, Starkville wins half the time. I mean, when the name of your town literally means "barren place of desolation," it really attracts the recruits like honey draws flies.
I mean, Scott Field really wows the recruits compared to wimpy Neyland Stadium or the Los Angeles coliseum or Touchdown Jesus.
When you spend as much money on your football program as these other schools spend on women's lacrosse, it really lights the competitive fires of the bluechippers.
If only Larry Templeton didn't settle for mediocrity we'd have it made.
