There were 4 or 5 of us had problems with Kents at the goose hunt. I thought it was just me till i said something at the last stalk of the weekend.

Never personally had any trouble with the Kent's but I quit em cause a buddy of mine bought a case a couple of years back and when it got wet out they messed up often. Usually what the primer would go off but the powder would not ignite and he would end up with the shot goin maybe 5-10 feet and the wad hung up in the barrel, which caused him to have to tear down the gun and poke the wad on out of the barrel. I bet I saw this happen to him a half a dozen times on one rainy hunt. Not good when a WATERfowl load is easily affected by WATER. :?

It's simple, don't get your shells wet. All it takes is a dab of fingernail polish on the primer to seal it from moisture.

Or you can not buy kents. I can't tell you how many times I've seen them either not fire, barely fire so the pellets roll out the barrel, hang fire, or swell in the chamber so they don't eject (even in a pump). Never, never again.

This is what happened to me.
I had to put the stock on a leg and use both hands to pump out the hulls several times.
Never again.

Last time I checked, there was a Mrs. Gulfcoast on the dropdown thingie with everybody's picture. I bet she wears fingernail polish. What's your excuse?

Too many different shells out there to put up with ones that don't go bang.
It's a bloody mary morning...
