Peanuts:

0.19% Phosphorous
1.66% Calcium
24% Leaf Protein
41% Seed Protein

Peanuts contain high quality plant protein. When comparing peanuts to similar foods, peanuts have ore protein than any other legume or nut. - The Peanut Institute

A buck's hardened antlers are about 45% protein. Body growth occurs before and takes precedence over antler growth. So if protein is in short supply, the deer will have smaller antlers. In general, we believe a diet of 13 - 16 precent protein is optimal for antler development. - http://www.huntingpa.com

Delta Peanut in Anguilla, MS will be selling peanuts for $0.55 cents per pound this year. You can contact them @ 662-873-2491 or email nutritiousseeds@hotmail.com

Hope this info helps.
