simple solution

Postby dukdawgn » Mon Dec 02, 2002 8:03 pm

Any more dismal seasons down in florida, and they will look to 86 Ron Zook. State should hold off, and grab up Zook to put with their scheme. Ole Miss should can coach cut, and everybody else looking to "build a running game". They have 4 backs that don't have 1/4 the talent Duece Mc or John Avery have. Cutcliff spent all dam season trying to establish a running game. WHY?? How about we pick up some better special teams work? How about we actually incorporate some real passing routes, since everyone knows we look to Collins on 3rd and long.

Besides, isn't this a dam duk hunting forum and not the Ole Miss Spirit website? heheheheheh

Hey GH22 what about all those picks Fant threw??? You sure are giving me a kick!!! Take your loss and go on!! quit coming up with excuses "Well we won the stat sheet, in your face", this my friend is stupid. Hell if my memory serves me right, Ole Miss kicked Arkansas' ass on the stat sheet, but they still whipped our ass and are going to Atlanta. You are a sore loser!! Face it State got beat by an Ole Miss team that is far superior to them, God I love saying that!!! hahaha

What kind of glasses am I wearing? Prescription glasses of course.

Ole Miss far superior to MSU??? NOT

About Fant throwing the INT's? He's done it all year, and he sucks. York should've played in the game, and the outcome may have been different. Down 26-6 to ark, in less than 5 min drove 80 yds twice for td's.

I'm kinda glad that ole miss beat state, at least I'll get to see Nebraska kill Ole Miss in the bowl game.

Great Excuses GH22. You are glad Ole Miss beat State cause you wanna see Nebraska beat us??? WTF?? You would rather See Nebraska beat Ole Miss than State beat em?? You are strange!! wow, you will say just about anything. Yeah both teams suck, but MSU really sucks!!! I bet it was really hard for you to accept defeat in little league games as well!!

I watched the news tonight and saw the postings on the State coaches. I kind of hate they fired Joe Lee. I know he's good and all, but I also understand we haven't had much in the last two years either. I'm afraid Ole Piss will hire Joe Lee again and he'll give us a little payback next year. He's talented. I think he changed his scheme when he came here a few years ago and never changed it again and everyone else figured it out. If he goes somewhere new, he'll change it again and he'll probably manage to have a darn good defense! I hope we don't live to regret that one! I wish we could get South Carolina's defensive coordinator (Strong), but I doubt he'll leave that program with Holtz unless he can land a head coaching job somewhere. Hopefully we'll be a lot better next year. We can't get much worse that what we've been the last two years! They said on the news that State hopes to announce the new coaches within the next two weeks. Maybe we'll get the ball rolling somewhere other than from Fant's hands into someone else's on the other team!!!!!!

One more rant and then on to duck hunting...

I don't fault the kids who are playing the game. After all, they are mostly 18-22 yr. old boys who wake up in a different world every day...and I am way envious as I remember those days! I do hold coaches accountable, however. It is their job to recruit to fit the needs of the team, and put the right person in the right place with the requisite skills and intensity to do the job. Then the coaching staff must lead and train the kids in discipline, passion, and integrity. It is the head coach's job to make sure these things are done. I can't see where Jackie S. has done any of these things to the extent to warrant his keeping his job. Even when the Dawgs were winning the west and coming to Atlanta, I was embarrassed to be seen in my spirit wear at the games due to the behavior of the players on the field...behavior tolerated by the man in charge, Jackie S. I don't care how many games he has won at State...the man is hollow in his heart and has no core values that will help build a program that State can be proud of. This lack of moral fiber and character has now come to roost for us, as it has in every program with which he has been associated. No mother in her right mind wants her baby to come to Starkville and be a part of this program. The only recruits we will get will be thugs and those who are desparate and have nowhere else to go...just who I want to root for! I always remember what the Bear said, "I recruit Mamas and the boys come with them." The Mama in my family wouldn't let our son learn at the foot of this man with a moral vacuum! That's the bad news. I'm afraid the worst news is yet to come. Now comes the panic. The first evidence is the firing of all assistant coaches, as if that is the problem. Now comes the panic where Jackie will do the things he always has done in a last ditch effort to ressurrect a decaying program. He will violate NCAA regulations to try to save his butt; he will not only leave the program in shambles, not only with no compass of values, not only with dwindling support of boosters and alumni, but with sanctions from the NCAA that we will have to live with for years to come!

One day, I'll tell y'all how I really feel about my man, Jackie! This isn't about kids; this isn't about a school. It's about a man who has nothing at the core, who has no redeeming value beyond football, and even that part is dubious! Make no mistake, I will always bleed MAROON AND WHITE! I will always love my little ole cow college! But Jackie Sherrill sure does make it hard to get excited, in a positive sense, about the football program.

Guess I'll just keep doing my dance!

The better team won??? HA

The better team on the field lost and you know it.

What??? Your beloved Bulldawgs didn't win even win an SEC game this year!!! Has that fact sunk in yet???  :(
Your team couldn't beat a good high school team.
We took advantage of our opportunities and the dawgs weren't able to. Last time I checked total yardage doesn't decide who wins the game, the scoreboard does, and it said UM 24, MSUx 12. :D
What's the word around Starkville about Mario Austin???
