Dave Matthews
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Kenny Chesney

Bunch more but that would be narrowed down as much as possible. A lot of bands could go into the 4th and 5th spot

I'm still working on the 5th. (I just realized looking at my top 4 that they all originate from either MS or AL...hmmmm)

Ok, finally decided on #5.

Dean Martin

Don Miller,

The Back 40 is from around Gwood. I heard them play at Websters back around the first of the year and man i tell you those boys were good.

THey could play just about anything you want, and a real crowd pleaser. Mostly good old contry music. I bet they would be perfect for a Wooly Swamp party.

Anyone on here like Gabby Johnson? They're pretty good. Have several original songs, but can cover just about anything you want em to. There's a "Mississippi" commercial...something about Mississippi tourism or somthing I've seen a couple times on tv...the music in the background is one of their original songs.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Be careful Softcall...The DEA could be monitoring your post...With a music selection like that you have given them primae facie evidence of illicit activity at some point in your past...The evidence could be hanging around in your DNA somewhere and the morality police might come knocking your door down pulling blood samples....

Personally, I cant limit myself to 5 or 10 or even 20 but here goes in no particular order

Elvis, The Three Bruces (Springsteen, Hornsby and Cockburn), Mozart, Beethoven, Miss Mass Choir, Dylan, Stones, The Who, Johnny Cash, Neil, ABB, Buffet, Muddy, Howling Wolf, BB, Bird, Coltrane, Satchmo, Miles, NMA, John Prine, JJ Walker, Willie, RE Keen, Bonnie Raitt, Spyra Gyra, The Crusaders, Wynona, Bobby Blue Bland, Neville Brothers, Sarah McLaughlin, Aretha Franklin, Allison Krauss and Union Station, Omar and the Howlers, The Thunderbirds, Paul Simon, Talking Heads, SRV and of course, Led Zep...

I could go on and on cause the thing about it is this:

All good music comes from the same place...It taps into the wellspring and from there it just flows...You cant define it but you know it when you hear it, when you feel it, it taps into that primal, instictive part of your brain, that part of your brain where the evolutionary blueprint is etched and, Man, IT MOVES YOU...Just like it did our ancestors all the way back to the day we slithered out of the ocean and became land dwellers which I happen to believe equates very nicely to the day God created Man...In other words, the ZEN of the hunt and the ZEN of groove have very much in common and the Boss upstairs made us that way.
