If you plant the same thing in the same place year after year does it really have bad production? here in caintucky they plant milo,millet,soybean,and very little sunflower.these fields have not done crap for the last 5 years I've been hunting them,some people say that there used to be thousands of doves at these places but now your lucky to see 25 birds a day! whats up?

It does not hurt to plant year after year.
I think what has happened is the crop varieties in the south have become earlier and we are planting grain crops 2-3 weeks sooner. The crop is maturing faster and there is more food for the birds. The birds are just migrating sooner.
