free gore-tex replacement coat

Postby JETDUCK » Thu Feb 08, 2007 3:38 pm

I had a Browning 4 in 1 wader coat that is 7 years old and it started to leak. Browning said ha how long do you think stuff should last. I did have a answer but was tring to get somewhere so I restrained. Long story short they gave the number to W.L. Gore company and after a 5 min call they said send it in and we will take care of it. I sent it in and the next day after they got it they call and tell me to pick out another gore-tex 4 in 1 coat and they will send it out. My question is what would you get? She said LL Bean, Cabelas,Browning,Redhead or any made from gore-tex would work. I only wish they made waders.

Go gore-tex,

Heck...give us the number to W.L Gore and company in case ours starts to leak. I too have a Browning 4 in 1 Gore-Tex parka...and if it begins to leak that number will come in handy. If you spend 300-400 bucks on a parka it should last a LONG time. (imho)
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

That is good customer service. If you liked the Browning get another one. If not I would look at all of them and then decide. Personally I would get the Browning, but if you didn't like it I would say cabelas or ll bean. I like my Columbia but I don't know if it is Gore Tex.

If the Browning folks said "ha" and you had to restrain yourself....I would put them at the bottom of your list.

I want the number too. I've got one that's been through it. They are great jackets.
