Natural voice... Negro please!!!!

I like the Primo's alumislate, Primo's LTD True double mouth calls, Old Yeller slate and my all time favorite, Penns Woods Sweet Talker -oak. They quit making this call probablly 20 years ago. I wish I knew how many birds I've killed with this call. Priceless!
Deadeye.. that's what's in my vest.

well...
a) I've got a custom made box call that my great grandfather gave to me...for sentimental reasons its my favorite....
b) I've got a Preston Pittman slate (not sure which one, Tombstone I think) that I like pretty well...along with a Primo's Power Crystal that I like as well....
c) mouth, Woodhaven Custom Calls "Red Wasp" is my current favorite, but I'm trying a few others out as well
now take this with a grain of salt...I quit turkey hunting 10 years ago when I moved to Mississippi, and am just now getting back into it, so I haven't tried all of the "latest and greatest stuff" but I've been around enough to know I like these better than some others i've tried.....

So I take it that you've never heard me use my natural voice because if you had, you wouldn't have said what you did.

for mouth, I like the Woodhaven Red Wasp as well (they have several good ones in that line...expensive, but worth it IMO) Basically with diaphragms it seems you have to buy about 40 and then throw 39 of em away once you find the one that suits you
For friction/pot calls: I have a few custom made ones (kaiserkalls.com) which are pretty awesome. For store bought, I like the Primos Crystal Freak -- it sounds good, but even better is the one hand design it has where it straps to your knee. This has proved very useful in hunting situations where you need a few little clucks to bring him the last few steps (better than that use a mouth call) To me, the bigger key is getting a decent striker and not simply using the garbage ones that usually come with store bought calls. Woodhaven makes some good ones, and the primos cutter and kee kee strikers are good as well.
box -- I bought a Primos Heartbreaker. I like it

I have a lot of calls.
My favorite slate and glass pot calls are made by a man from Arkansas, I cant remember his name but they are called Country Boy Calls or Yellow Yelper calls. Many of birds have died from these two.
Last year I got a glass call from Magnolia game calls, Gary is truly an artist at making the most beautiful turkey calls. Hopefully one will fall to it last year.
My oldest turkey call is my Lynch Fool Proof, when nothing else works this usually gets them fired up.
Mouth calls I have been using Yellow Yelper calls the last 2 years. I like them but the stick alot. I used to use Primos and Pittman calls but it just doesn't seem like they make them as well as the use too. I am fixing to put an order in for some Hooks diaphrams.
All locater calls are down naturally.
