5, First year to put deer hunting aside long enough to actually kill a few, killed my first band, and first snow goose, but as far as that it was really slow, didn't kill a large number of birds but gave it a good try, looking forward to next year.

8.5 Rating. The season started off really good with limits most every morning. By January 1st the shooting had slowed some but a 2 or 3 man limit was doable most mornings. January 18th thru January 28th, a two man limit was hard to come by. My party zeroed twice during the last ten days. But, throw in a double band greenhead and all in all it was a pretty good season.

3.5. on duck, Not the worst but close. Had birds until Christmas, then it got bad.
I am very thankful for the time I had to hunt though. I got to go alot. That gets a 10.
There will be a day....

I'll give it a 4 in terms of consistently seeing ducks.

It seems like everybody who ranked this season high, did so because they enjoyed being with friends & family. Oh yeah, there is just no way in hell that I'll be staying home next year. So don't bother suggesting it. :D

Anybody post on here that is a member of one of the "big name camps", for lack of a better term, such as Six Shooter, Fighting Bayou, etc? I am sure ya'll had good seasons, but how did they compare to years past. I have a good friend who hunts Beaver Dam and they had a horrible year when compared to recent years.

I had heard that FB had some zero's and that has hardly ever happened. Some other big outfits canceled some hunts toward the end of the season for lack of birds.

I know that Fighting Bayou killed a total of 4 birds on Saturday... if that tells you anything.

I am going to go with a 6. Because I got to go, see God's beautiful creation, kill some ducks, spend time with friends, share some stories, and above all I got out of the house.
