Stoeger 2000
Stoeger 2000
Anybody else shoot this gun? Buddy of mine just got one and wanted to know if anyone knew anything good/bad about it.

Honestly, the best shotgun I have ever owned. Especially for the money. I've never had it lock up in the coldest conditions. Mine has been dropped on concrete, in boats, scratched, kicked, and everything you can imagine and it has held up unbelievably. I love it and would probably buy another if my current Stoeger messed up. Go for it!

I have been shooting a black 2000 for 3 years now. It has been the most reliable automatic shotgun I have ever owned ( I presently own five other automatics). For the money you can't go wrong. I found this link discussing the gun.

I 'll have to agree with the above statements. I own a black one and love it. I can get the same pattern out of an improved cyl. choke as my buddies with a modified choke. I have never had a single problem out of it(knock on wood). A buddy of mine is selling a B. Gold to get one after hunting with mine.

Well I was waiting on a review from you on this gun. Guess that sums it up. Tater tell him he should have kept the Nova.

You don't need a stinkin' auto to kill ducks. Save your money! Disclaimer it does make you look cooler in the blind. Nothing's better than hearing someone make fun of a short barreled pump and then run to the plug with an auto and never touch the duck/goose while the pump pulls cleanup for them.

I have always shot an 870 until last year. Someone stole all of my guns and being in the position I was in, I wen more a less expensive gun(free, I got it for my B-Day) It is a Stoeger m2000 and it has totally impressed me. To this day it has never handed me any of those problems, not to say it wont in the future, but as of now I am very impressed. Them 870's make pretty good wading staffs too. I'm guessing the 453 was will not get a good gator review.?

well now that we've sucessfully hijacked this thread.... gator, I'm glad you're happy with your 870, but I think you'd have been happier with your auto purchase if you'd gone with a different gun.... oh, and for that last statement...anything mechanical will break... over the years i've seen more jammed 870's than Beretta auto's...but that's just my experience....

i have a buddy that guides and he is in his third season with his Stoeger 2000, and he loves it. He convinced me to go with Stoeger when i bought my son one last year. I got him the pump, P-350 , i think. looks kind of like a Nova.So far it has been a good gun also, but really hasn't been put to the test yet.

are you saying that you pull cleanup with your pump
