Believe you need a liscense or other state issued ID. Gotta pass a background check. Buy from a private party you need niether

I bought my last pistol at a gun show. All I had to do was fill out a background check and let them register it to my name. Took about 10 minutes.

your address has to be a physical address, not a PO Box or no dice. went through that one time. I bought one gun with no problem, then a few weeks later went to the same place to buy a gun for my son, and they denied me because my license had a PO Box. I told them that I had just bought one there, and the man said you didn't buy one here with that address. I told him to check his records and he was in shock. He said please dont tell anyone, I could lose my gun license if I got caught doing that. It was an honest mistake, but I had to get my wife to come fill out the paperwork on the second gun. Then I changed my address on my license to a street address.
