HAD A GOOD HUNT A WEEK AGO. KILLED 20 4 BANDS, THEN KILLED 1 GOOSE YESTERDAY AND IT WAS BANDED. PICS IS OF MY LABS FIRST BAND RETRIEVE. YOU HAVE TO LOOK HARD TO SEE THE BAND ON THE GOOSES LEG Image

wow, 1/5 of the birds you killed were banded? that might counteract my statistics of 300 birds killed and one band. congrats man!

we have found over the last 15+ years that the odds of band to ducks is 1 to 100 (mallards). Some years more than that and some less but the overall average stands at 1 to 100.

congrats on the bands! Still trying for the first so I'm hoping that 1out of 100 is bad wrong b/c it may be another 20 years for me.

the statistics for banded birds gets a lot better when you look on ebay, then sneak them on birds as you pick them up. I'm 5 for 5! :D
