It's bad enough when a dog flies out of a truck.......but I saw two guys loading their 4-wheeler back in the truck after dumping it on the pavement the other morning.

Can you imagine having a head-on with somebody's air-bourne 4-wheeler bouncing toward you at 60 mph?

Sad thing to loose a dog.....they count on us to take care of them.......and deserve better than some idiot that thinks nothing bad will happen to the dog if it rides in the back......'guess it's supposed to look 'kewl'. :?

yep, I can. We missed an airborne wheeler at about 4:30 one morning, by roughly 25 feet. 25 feet @ 60 miles an hour is CLOSE!!!
Scared us pretty bad. I was driving.

dogs in the back of the truck, only on the farm roads. Other than that, she is in the crate.

After the scare she gave me this week, she may live in the crate for the rest of her life!!!

I have put too many hours in training my dog (and he's still a **** eater) and love him waaay too much to try that. He will never EVER ride loose in my truck. Less he brings back another dead nutra rat.

LOL. If that was a ticket offense but guess what that is strait to the slammer buddy.

97-41-5. Carrying creature in a cruel manner.
If any person shall carry, or cause to be carried by hand or in or upon any vehicle or other conveyance, any creature in a cruel or inhuman manner, he shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

and when I get a guilt from the judge you will spend 10 days in jail. So keep running your mouth boy.

97-41-13. Penalty for violating certain sections.
Any person who shall violate any of sections 97-41-3 to 97-41-11, or section 97-27-7 on the subject of cruelty to animals shall, on conviction, be fined not less than ten dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, or shall be imprisoned in the county jail not less than ten days nor more than one hundred days or both

You might say it is not cruel to carry them in the back of the truck. Yes it is since there is a high chance of death or injury.

Had a boy get a puppy from me last year. He was rding around at his farm in Raymond with the dog in the bed of the truck, not doing over 10mph, so as to be gentle on the pup. Well the pup jumped out and landed on his head, resulting in a broken neck.

be sure to shut off the air bag if you can, it will do the same to a dog that it does to a small child. It is not a pretty sight.

More dogs get killed like that than just wondering out onto the interstate. I don't know what people are thinking. I guess it shows how much they value thier dogs........

Well what some people dont realize is the dog does not have to jump out he can be sucked out! All it take is a semi to come blowing by to fast and it will suck the dog right out of the truck. I have seen it happen! I value my dog (Reload) way to much to let that happen! It only takes one time!

Train em right you don't have to worry about em jumping out or falling out!. I bet you cant throw mine out of the back of the truck! Im on my 6th one in the last 30 years and haven't lost one yet!

That equates to a dog every 5 years?
