No I shot the drake. Both have white line on speculum, It doesn't show except for a small portion on first images. Will post an image of hen wings this afternoon. Birds were taken in SW MS.

If white lines are above and below the speculum, then the one with the orange/black bill is a Mallard Hen!

Is this a test to see if we can figure it out or do you really not yet know what they are????

Mottled drake and mottled hen. Both have the brown spot at the base of the bill and the hen has the "burnt motor oil" coloring on the bill. The faint white looks maybe on both speculums....The greenhead maybe tryin to move in/ menage au tua.... And did the two come in as a lone pair? Or was one with the greenhead? Never seen mottleds bunch up much...$.02

i'm thinking Mottled, and the bills on the male and female mottle should be different as Denduke pointed out. However, that is just going on pictures of Blacks, they are a real rarity here, and as far as i know i have never seen one other than photos.

the easy way to identify is:

mallards have three bars on their wings
mottled ducks have two bars
black ducks have just one purple bar
