I'm very allergic to the stuff myself. In fact I came home Saturday from a 3 day camping/hunting trip in the delta with a jam up case of it on my face, and neck. Went straight to the MEA and got a pack of steorid pills, Methylpredisone and some high octane cream, Triamcinlon. A good friend of mine is a pharmacist and he said this stuff is very good. As of today I'm good as new. If you're fortunate enough that over the counter meds work, count your blessings. If you're like me go straight to the doctor and get a shot or some good "roids." Don't mess with this stuff. It can make life miserable. I feel your pain.
When I was a kid I got it to the point of nearly having to be checked into a hospital room. Emergency room trips for a cortisone/benedryl shot were common for my parents and me.
When I was about 15 I took weekly shots for 3-4 weeks in a row in the spring as a preventative. I did not get so much as a speck for the next 2 years, and have not been nearly as allergic since. Over the years I now seem to be regressing, and I would like to take the preventative shots again.
Is it possible to take the weekly preventative shots nowadays?

Preventative or relief?
Last time it was for relief got it around my eyes, neck, and arms. It cleared up the spots around my eyes (they were dang near swollen shut) but not to good on the arms. I got it while running a chain saw must of had some old vines on the tree. Hate that stuff, now i spend half the spring spraying that crap and trying to kill it before it get out of hand.
