Any Speculations....

Postby cmwangsdixie » Fri Jan 05, 2007 11:15 am

As to how the hunting might be this weekend around Belzoni... We have hunted our place every weekend and haven't seen more than maybe 100 birds total, none of which were workable.

hunted not to far from there last weekend. we basicly blew it. had enough ducks to hunt and set up on the wrong hole in our field. not a ton of ducks in the air, but there were enough to have a decent hunt. pretty similar weather conditions for this wekend so I am going and will try to seal the deal this time. i am thinking with the rain forecasted that it should be one of those days where you can sit in the field a while and scratch out a limit.

Went to our place wednesday afternoon to look around....saw more birds than I've seen all year...hunted Thursday morning and they were gone...killed 4 teal. Too much water.

Did the same thing.. Sat in a deerstand and watched 150+ mallards and various other big ducks land in a timber hole in the late afternoon.. The next day, ALL GONE! :?

Mud-
Is that lease on the break just west os Isola? (Dutch) I have 2 buddies who hunt there-Mike Tullos and Steve Huckaby. They haven't had a good year from what I'm hearing. It may not be called Dutch Break afterall.

I was pretty sure he did not work for the RR, because I know all too well that if you work for the RR, you do nothing else. Espeically something that takes time.
