Dang, I didn't know that about S!! We all graduated together from highschool, but I've only hung around with B since then..... they got our O line ave. up to around 265 lbs. my senior year (I was center, they were tackles O&D) - 2 big ole' boys for sure - I think S was around 275 and B was around 270!!

B is more retaurant chef material but S can cook meat on the grill and stuff on the stove that will make a puppy pull an Amtrak!
There's a reason it's called fishin'& huntin' instead of catchin'& killin'

Every time I think about S, I think about when we were in Bachelor's Living and cooked some muffins and things. He still had on his apron (and maybe a chef's hat) and went around the gym "selling" them.....singing "Ennell, Ennell, Ennell... Muf-fins". Guess it was funnier since I was there, but seeing a big ole' boy walking around singing that, still makes me laugh!!

Yeah, Becky called me while I was hunting the other day and told me. Talked to someone yesterday that said they (coroner?) thought that he choked in his sleep.

I haven't talked to him and didn't go to the funeral day before yesterday, so I don't know. I'm sure Mrs. Katherine and Mr. Johnny are a wreck.

I couldn't imagine that. I sure hope they are OK. I talked to Perkins not even a few weeks ago.

Hey Waterbound,
We apologize for jacking your post, a guy we knew was found dead the other day.
All entries before mine, jelly & chocoSeal are correct as to places to eat around 'Nola (ChocoSeal and I grew up there - jelly from the west a few miles).
Bourbon Mall - excellent food, atmosphere, "talent" & they'll come pick you up in a limo and take you back home for a fee - good for duck camps, more people to split the cost.(turn south on the road across from Fratisi's Texaco on the east side of Leland, get to a T - go left and stay on the newly paved road, keep going - you'll think you missed it - look for the lights)
Lillo's - great old style italian dishes and pizza (on hwy. 82 in Leland)
Ciscereo's - last time i was there, food was same as always - great (near the tracks at Stoneville)
Pea Soup's - everything's good "dairy bar" type menu (on hwy 82 on west side of 'Nola)
The Crown Restaurant - if you're feeling fru-fru - get the pavlova for dessert (downtown 'Nola, lunch only maybe)
Then there are tons of little places around the area (G'ville, G'wood, Cleveland, Inverness, Belzoni), depending on how far you want to drive, but don't get too comfortable driving with too much to drink, it aint like it used to be - nobody gets a "get out of jail free" card anymore, and for a while the "most dui arrests" stayed in the general vicinity for quite a few years.

Your talking about Cicero's, STAY AWAY, CHEAP QUALITY FOOD, SUCKS!!

Sorry Woodduckdawg, But the Bourbon Mall is Much closer to Hollandale than Indianola 25 miles or so to Indianola, less than 15 to Hollandale, maybe around 10.

If you go to Lillo's they have EXCELLENT, TRUE Italian, and the Pizza's are GREAT!!! I live right behind Lillo's on that lake, we eat the Pizza's ALL the time, and their Salads are good too!! The Bourbon Mall is pricey though, but you HAVE TO HAVE the Fried Hot Tamales!!! if you go!!

Cool. It used to be hard to explain to people, not from the area, how to get out there, especially before they re-paved the road.

Going to be at the Bourbon Mall Sat night. I can taste the cold ones and that grilled pork chop now... 8)
That is a guaranteed deal, now I wish I could say the same for the ducks. :?
