Plenty of water and plenty of hunters in the greentree. Saw 24 trucks at the greentree area ramp one morning last year. Thats a lot of hunters for that area. Planning on checking it out this weekend.

torch, they pump it every year...i hunted it alot the last two years...the year before and i think the year before that, the levee broke or something and they didn't have the water they do normally...last year, of course, they had PLENTY of water...don't know what the rules/regs were like last time you went, but now you have to be off of the place by 4 pm i believe and a 15 shell limit, but check...hope this helps...have a good un...gator

Six Mile is a public lake the only problem is access is restricted because of privite land owners around it. The scatters would be better than six mile but then again part of the scatters is privite property and you must know which part is public.

15 shell limit!?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?!  Are you serious? Why do they do that? To keep people from skybusting? Maybe we need to try that up here so we can get rid of some skybusters............

Hey Ducky, the website makes no reference to 15 shells. The only restriction that I saw was no hunting past 4 pm. The only time that I ever really need more than 15 shells is open field hunting in high wind.

Otherwise 15 shells is plenty, maybe 20 if my "head's a hurtin' ". Although I usually have 5 or 6 boxes tucked away in my boat, and two boxes in my coat at all times.

they must have changed the regs since I was down there last...the last time I was down there you had to be out of the greentree area by noon or 1 pm...can't remember which though...never saw anything about 4:00. We did kill a couple of limits, but it took right up til quittin time to do it! It seemed as if every time we did manage to get a bunch working someone would shoot and that was that. Its a little too much work to drive an hour and a half one way to spend ALL morning trying to get some ducks to work around all the shooting.

NO ducks but plenty of water at greentree and the scatters(last weekend). I was very diasappointed.
Talk about hunters at Malmaison, I remember about 2 years ago, two of us killed our limits of ducks and the whole time there were a couple of boats from SC watching us. They watched us for two mornings and the third morning you better bet they were in our spot. Well actually they werent even in the right spot, they were in the right spot to mess that hole up. Fortunately they didnt kill any ducks. It is amazing how many SC trucks were at that ramp. Sorry I got off on my soapbox but that has to be my biggest pet peeve but I guess that's public hunting.
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am
