well actually this barrell I'm looking for is for a buddy of mine so I wasn't there for the mishap but I have to guess it got exciting there for a second. Apparently he was hunting and a bird comes across and the guy next to him swings with the bird and fires straight into his gun barrel. One pellet actually went through the barrel wall completely and rest of the pellets just dented it up pretty good. So now we are looking for a used barrel, we priced new ones and all I can say is WOW. Benelli is definitly proud of those things.

Didn't see that coming, figured for sure it was a wad stuck in the barrel. That sucks for sure. Everyone is proud of the replacement barrels, cost almost as much as the gun some times. Might try any and all local gun shows! Good luck, sure hope the shooter pays!

Sounds like the guy that shot the barrel up should be replacing it

Sounds like more importantly someone needs to go back to hunter saftey. Mistakes can and do happen, but there is no room in a duckblind for poor gun saftey. Could have been someone's head rather than someone's gun barrell. Hope he finds a new one.

SBE replacement barrel.....

Postby billjohnson » Sun Dec 24, 2006 7:43 am

I've watched bunches of them on ebay but have never bought one there. I was looking for a short barrel at one time for turkey hunting.

we did find a used barrel at a local gun store, it was in pretty good shape so my buddy picked it up at $275......alot of money for a used barrel but sure beats the $500+ for a new one plus the six week wait he was looking at, thanks for the help.
