MS Boy kills monster TX deer

Postby weimhunter » Tue Dec 19, 2006 2:35 pm

This is all I got in the email this morning. Anybody know anything else?

A guy from Columbus killed this deer. Bass Pro Shop offered the guy
$30,000.00 for the horns and give a replica mount.

A friend of mine from Columbus killed this deer in Texas. He makes Boone
& Crocket both ways. He scored 179 typical and 230 non-typical. He isthe
biggest deer killed in Texas this year so far.

When I was in KS recently the "buzz" around the local town was about Cabelas paying "$50,000" for horns. It's a crying shame that it has come to this. Now you can't even think of hunting deer without having a gazillion dollars thanks to $hit like this. I say screw Cabelas, Bass Pro and the like for whoring out deer hunting. If they want to have good sets of horns use some of their "pro-staff" and their "wealth of knowledge" and get their own.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

A friend of mine was on the hunt with him. It was killed at McAllen Ranch. Supposedly it is the biggest deer killed in Texas so far this year.

I heard the same thing about Bass Pro, but I'm not for sure if that is true or not.

Heckuva deer!!

I got this pic in an e-mail about a week ago, but I did not realize that a MS boy killed it. Heck of a deer definetly unique.

That has to be one of the coolest, most original racks I have ever seen. Those points coming off the G-2's are awesome looking. There is no telling how much he had to shell out for a trophy like that...

Well, just to let you know they will buy them. This guy is actually going to take the cash! Talked to his cousin last night.
