Moving to Vicksburg

Postby wildhorse2 » Thu Dec 14, 2006 7:57 am

Guys I am finally moving back to Mississippi. I have transferred with my company. I am having a hard time finding a place to rent. I can't find a place with room for boats, trucks, dogs, storage for massive decoy collection. I am planning on buying a house but want to have plenty of time to look. Any help- would be great. Also looking for like minded guys to share a beer with from time to time.

I live in Vicksburg and rental houses can be a pain to locate - especially w/ space for storage and animals. You might need to use a realtor. If you have kids - school zones MAKE A DIFFERENCE !!

You'll probably find a better/safer place for your stuff out in the county - maybe out Oak Ridge Road. Good neighborhoods and some rentals scattered around.

I also live in vicksburg and could help you out with a realtor if your looking to buy. Check in the Bovina area, quite and plenty of room for hunting gear.

I'll second that. When I lived in Vburg a couple a years ago, I had an apartment next to the battlefield bc I had a german shepherd & that's the best I could find at the time. You might also want to look at Clinton. I like it, and the drive ain't too bad.

welcome home, plenty of places available if you can afford them and are willing to spend the $$$$. I understand there are several new neighborhoods in the works if you wanted to build.

Bovina is a nice area. I grew up in Bovina and still spend a good bit of time hunting out there. If your looking for a place to rent then that may prove to be a difficult task. I used to rent a nice spot out that way with plenty of room for all your boats and gear etc... I don't know if it is currently occupied or not. I'll PM you the name and number of the man that i rented the house from. He'd be a good starting point if you are in fact interested in moving out that way. I would recommend living out that way for sure. Good Luck ~ Check your PM's

There is a house in Allen place in Bovina that is getting ready to rent. I can find out more if you would like?
