It is tough hunting out there because there is so much water... You can't hunt on the Madison side of the rez has to be on the Rankin county side. I have hunted out there about 20 times in the last 5 years.. You get some good days and some bad ones.. Never got a limit out there. I think in those hunts I have probably came out with 10 birds.. But you got to be lucky and good on pass shots..

You need to scout. The holes that are hot have been hot for along time. The people who hunt these hole have been hunting them for along time. We have hunted the same two holes since 1984. They have hot and cold days sometimes you slaughter them and sometime you do not see a duck.

A good starting point is the river the big water is a hard sea to hunt. Do not let all the hunting clubs BS you into thinking that they own all the land on the river. The boundarys are clearly marked with orange paint, if you do not cross it you are still on reservoir property.

Nope, i have stayed away from the rez ever since neil and crew "titanic-ed" that boat on the way out. Neil had to get a wetsuit and dive for their guns and gear.
Did he ever tell you about that bum?

He thought the shells he got off the bottom of the rez would still work 2 weeks later. That was a funny hunt.
