Fighting Bayou Buck

Postby tripletail » Wed Dec 06, 2006 7:22 pm

Chris Lotterhos killed this 160" buck at Fighting Bayou last week. I know it is known for ducks, but I have seen some great bucks over there.

That is a big stinkin deer. As to the location, I asked the same question last week. The answer received...located south of highway 8 between minter city and ruleville. I have known several people who have duck hunted there as guests and it is supposedly unmatched in Mississippi. I believe it is mostly flooded green tree reservoirs, someone with more knowledge correct me if I am wrong. I think it is hop in boat, ride through lanes cut in woods to very nice blind, sit in blind, kill limit within 1.5 hours, go back to lodge eat nice breakfast, every time. I think they employee a full time staff, for year-round maintenance of the property for wildlife. I had not heard about the deer hunting, but it is apparently solid as well.

Years ago they had blinds, but its been a while since I hunted there, I don't exactly fit in with the rest of the clientele if you know what I mean. They've got so much money- when they die they're gonna take it with 'em.

Don Miller knows all about that place............
