wader question

i am shopping for new waders and plan on buying the Lacrosse brand but am a little confused as which to buy? Any help will be appreciated on the difference and quality of each. If you have hunted with me you know i have 5 pair from lacrosse, hodgeman, Itasca, and some stocking foot and all leak BAD :shock:

so before buying another pair of leakers need some input!

look into the alpha swampfox from lacrosse. ive hunted the last 2 weekends out of a pair and they are great. it really doesnt get cold enough around here to get the 5mm. very comfortable and easy to manuver in

I agree -- don't sell others brands short either. I have always hunted in 5 mm lacrosse waders until last year. Mack's Big Ditch 3.5mm waders are great and have a great price as well.

I wouldn't recommend Lacrosse, but if you do decide to buy a pair, get the Super Tuffs. The Brush Tuffs are way too hot IMO.

The next pair I buy will be Cabelas brand. If anything goes wrong with them, Cabelas will help you out tremendously, unlike Lacrosse.

I won't be buying anymore 5mm after this pair runs its course. My Hodgeman boot is too damn big and the waders too tough to move in. They are damn near bullet proof so I can't complain.

I like the Lacrosse brush tuff 5 mm. They are really warm so I don't have to put on a lot of clothes underneath.

Columbia is making a 4mm w/ 1000 gram boot, and it is sexy. I wore them last weekend, and I love them. A couple of guys that I hunt with wore them all year last year, and had nothing but great things to say. Amen on the 5mil being too hot.

I have the Lacrosse brush tuff and I am working on my 3rd pair....I would rather hunter out of a burlap sack lined with a garbage bag than buy another pair of lacrosse....Yes they are warm and comfortable but the seam in the crotch has leaked on every pair I have had. They are a POS in my bookâ€¦.

Go to academy sports and get the camo brush tuff 5mm for $99.00. If they they start leaking and you don't want to fool with patching, toss them for a new pair next year. They are indentical to lacrosse with 1000 gram boots and have external shell loops and hand warmers. Just my 2 pennies.

I bought a pair of Cabela's Ultimate Hunting Waders this year and love them. The "regular" sizes are on sale right now for $139. IMHO you can't beat that deal anywhere anyway....especially given Cabela's customer service.

I have the same pair, I had a pair for 5 years and something came unglued in the boot so I sent them back to get fixed they told me the pattern was discontinued. I emailed them back saying all I wanted was for them to fix them not asking for a new pair, they sent me a gift certificate for full price. Keep in mind I had the other pair for 5 years and put them through hell. Now thats customer service. I also know another guy(greenheadgrimreaper) this happend to except his seem busted and they sent him a new pair. I am a BIG FAN of their waders

Where did you see them for $139? They are listed on the site as $179.
