Shotgun Question

Postby Squealer » Sun Oct 02, 2005 7:42 pm

Anybody know if it's ok to shoot steel shot through a Remington Express 870 20 gauge youth model? It has the Rem choke system but I can't find out if the barrel is acceptable for steel or if I just need a steel approved choke tube as claimed by Academy. Thanks for your help.

You're fine. And Remington factory chokes are fine for steel.

Should be fine for steel regardless.
There's a reason it's called fishin'& huntin' instead of catchin'& killin'

My daughter uses this set up, no problem with the steel. I recommend the stock modified choke also.
My hunting partner is Mr. Murphy. You're proboably familiar with his law.
