What a concept.
What a concept.
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

No way.
Times is much better now than it was back then. People died in their 50's or 60's. No good medicine, rotten food in the cities. Most of us would have been doing back-breaking labor in factories or for farmers. No internet either...

there were people back then that wanted to overthrow the goverment and change everything about America. Those people tried then just like those that are trying now.
It's just the way it is. People think what they will and change what they can. Voting is the only way to stop or prevent these people. If you dont think the process works then change it. If you think the process works then defend it. I do.

You know what else really bothers me is when you here someone complaining about how the election turned out and how the president is running everything. You tell them well come such and such date you can vote and voice your opinion. They reply oh I am not registered to vote. I tell this guy I work with he has no right complaining since he will not go vote or even rgister to vote. Just retared to me. If you don't vote don't complain.

Our goverment is making it WAY to easy to become a "citizen" of this country. Heck, most immigrants aren't citizens and do not plan on becoming one - they are ILLEGAL.
I thought that anything worth having was worth working for. We should make these people work hard for their citizenship, that way they will appreciate it more, and maybe we wouldn't have to put up with them waving their own flags in our country, and sleeper cells of terrorists.
In the old days that was the way it was. Now days --- it SUCKS!!!!!
