Sent to my by a Lafayette Co. officer. Looks like a house cat to me, but that looks like a good sized oak in the first pic.

The 2nd pic shows it to be MUCH larger than a house cat. The first pic does look like a house cat though.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I'd say it is a very large Egyptian cat. Those sucker get to about 30 lbs.

That's what I thought too.

Been easier to identify the corpse than from a photo.

In the first pic it does resemble a house cat but look again at the amount of space under its belly to the ground. In proportion to the water or whatever is behind it it looks much bigger. The tree comparison is also a good one but the heighth under the belly is interesting.

Whats the fine of shooting one?

Not like i'll get the chance in shooting one.

Looks believeable, that oak gives the cat a house cat look thou. my dad and grandad swore up and down we had one on our farm some years ago.

I can see that being 27 Break, looks like the photo was taken from the levee. There is a cotton field and treeline that abuts it that looks just like the picture. I hunt within the area, and have had a pretty respectable guy swear that he saw one in that general area several years ago. Wonder if he went and made molds of the tracks?

I beleive you are looking at a black Panther. I saw one as a kid at Huntington Point hunting club. No one believed me, said I saw a bob cat. Any way I hope they can prove it.

I have seen one twice in my life. I have told this story before. I am a beliver!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone needs to hunt them suckers in Kilgore Hills near clay county! I saw a large blackish cat walking then running threw a cutover about 50 yards away. We where getting in our stands deer hunting and me and my friend just looked at each other. That was in 1990. Second sighting was in 1997 at night crossing the a gravel road in that same area.
