Tough Morning

My company downsized today. I had to layoff 4 of my 9 reps.

I know it has to be done, but it sure sucks. Without a doubt, today was the worst day of my professional career.

that is a horrible feeling - I know first hand. One thing to think about (and I don't know what company you work for) but if by the term "rep" you mean sales reps then I would start thinking about why a company is reducing it's revenue generation engine. usually, operations, finance and accounting are the ones that take a hit when SG&A reductions are called for.

sorry to hear that you had to do that. it's not personal so keep that perspective on things.
