When checking waterfowlers, why not wait at least until after mid-morning, or when we are clearly picking up and leaving, to swoop in to do all the checking? A little courtesy both ways will go a long way toward better relations between legal hunters and GWs


At that rate you could check about 2 groups a day. One in the morning and one in the evening.

I don't ever like to check anybody during "prime time" unless I know they are messing up. Everybody else I try to wait until after the sun is up good and the "shooting hour frenzy" is over. Even then, I like to get in and get out as quickly as possible (unless you have a portable grill with tasty treats cooking over the fire).

You are right. Courtesy on both ends will do wonders.

nice post, a lot of times it is not being checked or given a ticket that makes people have a bad taste in their mouth about gw's, it is the way it was conducted and attitude sometimes portrayed
