FEDS bust Dixie Farms Dove Hunt.......?? True or Not?

Postby Thomas » Sun Oct 22, 2006 10:07 am

(Rumor Mill - not stating this as fact)

As topics on baiting continue, I was suprised to hear that the Feds busted up a dove hunt at Dixie Farms. Sunflower field was baited with outside sunflower seeds. Is this true? My understanding is that 1 guy is taking the fall for this, instead of the entire 11 that were hunting, and his fine could reach up to $20,000 and a suspended hunting license up to 2 years.

Anyone still want to joke about baiting? Migratory Birds are a wee bit different the Deer and Corn......FEDS vs. Local GreenJeans.......

How stupid can you get? This wasn't some redneck club, but a group of prominent citizens. Anyone know the whole story?

i know a guy who was doing that wheat sunflwers corn and salt.. they got bussted by the state and all got $5k tickets.. when the wardens left they told the guy to fix it up same way next year.. they are all docs and lawyers with really big pockets..

True... they did get busted. Don't know enough about the situation to give the whole story on the internet, but I know that federals did bust them opening morning of dove season.

......FEDS vs. Local GreenJeans

FYI, State wardens can and do send migratory bird violations to Federal court.

It's a good day when violators get caught. Although these citations sometimes give sportsmen a black eye, it's good to see the law at work.

Good on the COs and any others that helped make this happen.

The guy that owns Dixie farms is rich beyond belief, and is a lawyer and his wife is a relief good praticing attorney, as well. He can wipe his hind end with $20,000 time and time again!

If the FEDS pull his license and he hunts and gets caught, he will probably do some jail time. :P

I was under the impression that there are about 6 stockholders that own dixie farms, one of which is my client. could be wrong though.
Why is my mouth so dry this morning, when I drank so much last night?

I don't know about all of Dixie Farms, but the duck club is a stock ownership with several members, and I can tell ya, they don't give that stock away!!!

I heard about a big hunt getting busted around satartia by the feds opening morning. It was supposedly a 1000 acre field leased out by some people. The story I heard said the feds took the guys to jail.
